At Orchard we aim to engage pupils in a relevant, exciting and challenging History curriculum about Britain and the wider world. It aims to inspire curiosity by investigating questions about how and why the world, our country, culture and local community have developed over time helping to give pupils a better understand of their lives today. History enables children to develop a context and a chronological framework for knowledge of significant people and events.

The intent of our History curriculum at Orchard is to deliver a curriculum which is accessible to all and that will maximise the outcomes for every child so that they know more, remember more and understand more.
