At Orchard Primary School, our Sports Premium funding is dedicated to fostering an inclusive, active, and engaging physical education environment for all pupils. We aim to maintain and increase pupil participation in sports competitions while promoting SEND inclusion through adapted sports opportunities. Supporting our least active pupils is a priority, achieved through targeted festivals, events, and leadership programmes. We provide access to wider opportunities via the County School Games and Active Notts, strengthening our links with local clubs, and the wider community. Our commitment includes sustaining the School Games Mark achievement and delivering leadership training to empower pupils in organising events and festivals. Through the implementation of the OPAL initiative, we boost physical activity during unstructured times, particularly at breaktimes, by increasing moderate-to-vigorous activity levels. Additionally, targeted FUNFIT sessions support pupils with motor skill challenges, ensuring every child can develop confidence and competence in movement.
